Use the Big House for more events? (link)

Story discussed the possibility of opening up The Big House to more non-football events, such as the Winter Classic next year.

I guess I really don't mind, as long as whoever uses it doesn't dick it up in some way. The other thing that scares me about opening it up to more things is the chance that advertisements sneak their way into the stadium. I've always enjoyed my Saturdays in the stadium and not being bombarded by ads for a bunch of crap I never use/need.

The Winter Classic WILL be at Michigan Stadium next year. IMO any advertisements that may appear as a result of the Winter Classic will be taken down. The U is leaseing Michigan Stadium to the NHL for $3 Million. That's a good start to paying off the rennovations.

(It's not just a Football Stadium, other things can happen there. I draw the line at Monster Truck shows though).
