hearing that Eason might end up at Florida. that would be two studs for them in the class. impressive. See, 'eggo knows. If 'eggo knows there must not be anything to it. I'm just playing the crotchety old man, but 'eggo knows things.

| Being reported here in Atlanta that Alabama's Kirby Smart is the next HC at Georgia. I would hold out on hopes of getting Nauta & Eason if that is true, IMO. | |

13 must be a guy that follows recruiting because he caught that Dontavious tidbit I put out and bit on it before I start let me say it's nothing mind blowwing. I also should fill those guys in that don't know much about D Jax with some quick tidbits. 1. D Jax is known to be tight lipped and I mean VERY tight lipped. His camp follows suit. you'd have better luck getting the secret to cold fusion out of a mute. I don't even think he's ever given a top 5 list. He never talks to anyone. he never confirms anything. even his twitter is useless for information which is a phenomenal feat for a high schooler. 2. he is highly thought to be a mammas boy. that perception comes from the people around him. to the layman that may not mean much, but because I've followed his recruitment for the better part of the year, I know the value to put on that. In a recent interview that brewster had with a person he calls "the best possible source" (hope you caught that, someone in his camp talked which is rare) the source said that while his camp (family) wants D Jax close to home, he doesn't feel that way and could very well be looking to play further away. the second point to that is that the source also said that he believes it's a three horse race (MICHIGAN, Texas, Florida St). but not even the coaches know where he's leaning (if he's leaning at all). it has been widely accepted that Texas has been his leader all along but to hear a source confirm it's a three horse race is actually pretty big news for this particular kid's recruitment. Also I'm pretty sure he's OVed to LSU and TAMU so for them not to be in that top three list is a good thing for MICHIGAN. D Jax wants to play somewhere he feels comfortable. While D Jax may not have given much on his recent trip, the three guys he OVed with this last weekend posted some insight to how good of a time he had. Also, I saw something last week that I wanted to post but didn't know how to interpret at the time. there was a tweet from some talk-sports-guy regarding Durkin signing with Maryland, D Jax replied with "Why you lying? I'm sitting right next to him". I thought that was interesting. i took it as D Jax sticking up for his future DC but I'm an admitted homer trying to find the best way to flip that tweet for MICHIGAN.

gonna be interesting to see how the remaining targets and current commits take this.
IMO there is no good way to spin this.
They have to knock their next hire out of the park.

great question. I had to look it up. I knew off of the top of my head that he did recruit Gil. I've broken it into two sections. Commits and Targets CommitsDevin Gil Antwaine Richardson Josh Mettellus Rashad Weaver Targetscaleb Kelly Dontavious Jackson Devin Bush Jr Jonathan Jones The above is according to 247. Good news - I can't see any of the commits he recruited leaving. bad news - We need stud LBs bad in this class. The likeliness that we land Jackson, Bush JR and Jones now that Durkin left probably just took a big hit.

| did these recruits watch our LB play this year ? .... they have to know they will get immediate PT ... they are recruited to Michigan with Jim Harbaugh as coach ... they may feel close to Durkin , but they hardly like him so much that they will now follow him to Maryland ... Jim Harbaugh has the NFL pedigree that these kids are looking for | |

| word is (per Jones himself) partridge's in-home visit last night was "awesome" it was partridge's very first in-home visit and it sounds like he did very well. I'm keeping Jones in the class but that may have locked it up. BTW - Wiltfong gave a CB to MICHIGAN for Jones today. | |

I don't see the problem. She liked him but she said it did not have that big of an effect. She did say the replacement will have an effect. So hire a proven DC. - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| CB = crystal ball.
it's a tool that 247 sports lets their analysts/writers/insiders use to predict where they think a certain recruit will end up.
there is a point system involved with it. so if a certain analyst predicts a recruit to commit to a certain school and that recruit does end up committing to that school then the analyst gets points based on a few criteria. the goal is to get the most points.
the bad thing about that is that a lot analysts put up CBs early and often and change them around a lot just to try to get points. IMO that doesn't help the subscribers on any level.
thankfully the three MICHIGAN guys take the CB very serious. they don't care much for the points, rather they are trying to get the best info to their subscribers. there are also other analysts affiliated to other schools and national analysts not affiliated with any schools that are pretty serious about the CB tool also. so I try to watch a few guys.
if you ever see a CB and are not sure about the guy who picked it you can do two things...
1. you can check his prediction rate. check his flip rate also. see how many times he was right. how many times he flipped his pick and how many times he was wrong. that is usually a good indicator on how serious you should take a particular CB.
2. just come over and ask this board. most of the guys that follow recruiting on here will tell you how much stock to put in a certain pick. kind of like reading a chatsports article vs a sam webb written article.

| Bush JR set his commit date. it's gonna be 12/16.
the good news... JH just had an in-home with him and it looks like it went as good as expected.
the bad news... Bush JR is scheduled to OV this weekend but it looks like that isn't going to happen.
it's a three horse race (two IMO) between MICHIGAN/FSU/Auburn.
good news part 2.... the MICHIGAN 247 insiders (clint and steve) have amazing ties to FSU and Bush SR and yet they are staying strong on their picks for Bush JR to end up at MICHIGAN.
With Vic decommitting I think it's obvious that the meter on the "LB panic level" officially started to rise. We absolutely cannot afford to whiff on LBs this year.
Had Vic stayed onboard and we missed Bush JR I would have shrugged my shoulders, said "that's recruiting" and moved on. Can't do that now even though I fully expect Jones in the class and also with D Jax is trending really well.
this is going to be one for us to keep an eye on.

| just pointed out on a 247 board... The FSU mods don't feel confident about a Bush JR commitment to FSU. Also, the last two follows for Bush JR on twitter... our very own Clint Brewster and Sam Webb. The thing last week between Brewster and Bush SR probably explains the former ha ha. | |

| perfect example just happened.... Bush Jr just picked up a CB to MICHIGAN. Problem is, it's from a guy at bleacher report. however, he's one of their recruiting guys so he follows recruiting very well and he has some really good CBs (IMO). Still not sure how much stock you can put into his CB but none-the-less, it's still a CB. - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
