watching BTN this morning and one of the analysts (don't remember who) was saying the key for UM's offense will be to get MSU's D moving sideways. Had a decent breakdown and some film showing how they don't have elite speed and can be vulnerable at times. I'm skeptical about UM's ability to run reverses against MSU though (that was a play they talked about too).
Also get the ball out of DG's hand fast. Lots of hitch routes for Funchess could be the key to picking up 4 or 5 yards.
Basically UM can't afford to try to run the ball up the middle all day. Get the ball outside of the tackles and we've got a chance at some decent drives. We need to minimize the time the Sparty O is on the field. Something tells me we're gonna see UM up the middle ad nauseum.
