May seem strange, friends, but---

---am I the only one who didn't feel a LITTLE sorry for the 'Cats last night?
Let's face it; we were NOT in any sort of must-win situation; we're in the Big
Dance as at WORST a No.5 seed.

But the Big Ten's only team to never play in the Big Dance NEEDED that game last night.
Pure and simple. Barring a 1-in-ten million Big Ten Tourney championship, they are NIT-bound now.
And because they've never gone dancing, I felt doubly sorry for them. (I'm serious).

But man---how to break a team's back: open the overtime with three straight threes!!

Next year, if he just keeps Jordan out of foul trouble, Mitch Mcgary will be worth his
hype. I'm so impressed with Jordan (when he's able to stay on the floor) and his
effort under the hoop. May not have been quite the operator last night he was against
OSU, but still came up big when needed.

Of course, the guard play is what got us the win, though.

Yeah, a little. Would like to see them reach the tourney. I think they can get it in the win 2 of 3 remaining, and win a game in the B1G tournament.

But, the committee may us your strike zone analogy from the previous thread and keep them out.

No I don't feel bad. We are trying to win a conference championship. We are also flirting with a top 10 ranking. If we win out we may get as high as a 3 seed in the NCAA. These are things Michigan BB has not experienced in a long, long time. We have a lot riding on every game from here on out.

That said, I would still love to see NW get into the NCAA. I hope they win the rest of their games. A win vs. OSU would go a long way at getting into he tourney.
