| Yes Woody, it's begun. http://247sports.com/Season/2020-Football/RecruitRankings #11 is Myles Hinton, Chris Hinton's younger brother. Chris just committed to Michigan for 2019 and is as solid as a rock. Myles is almost as solid. There's a few other guys that are interesting. Several from Georgia where we've done a lot of our poaching recently. BTW, i don't even think these guys have their learner's permits yet. lmao _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I have no problem with recruiting news. I am a former reporter and public relations flack, turned attorney who values clarity in language. My issue is using the word "commitment" paired with "non-binding". I enjoy the pursuit and speculation over these prospect who, prior to the first Wednesday of February (and now, whatever day in December) declare where they plan to play college football, unless they change their minds. I am fired-up about both of the Hintons. | |

| Now, the good news is that while it's always possible, we haven't seen decommitments like we used to in the Clod era. The last couple we saw turned out to be kids that didn't continue to work once they got a deal. Those kids were basically told to find a different college.
Rarely does a kid leave Michigan once he's said he's coming. Of course it still happens. But bigger and bigger fish are coming to Ann Arbor each recruiting cycle. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Shea's Lil'brother Nick commits to Michigan. He's a TE, 6'3", and will get to Michigan in 2020. He's already talking about recruiting guys here.

| Hello 2020 QB JD Johnson. He's from Phoenix. Hasn't played much. He was behind a 5* and then the kid got suspended. He led them to the State Championship where t hey lost. I think this is the highest level in the state. No rankings this early but he will get a ton of offers. Woody I'm sure this is solid _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| Slightly OT, but my daughter was offered by the top-rated U of M Graduate School of Social Work. "A life-long dream to be offered by Michigan," and her "Visit was awesome. Professors are really knowledgable and motivating." She's really looking forward to getting started with the program, but said she "might as well" take an already-already scheduled visits to "one or two" unnamed schools. | |

| Congratulations 'woody. I am an alumnus of that program. I encourage her to take all scheduled visits. If she is looking at predominantly direct work with clients tell her to keep an open mind. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

I remember when you brought her to a tailgate. She was trying to decide which college she was going to choose at that time. I'm getting old. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| So I shall say that she is not committed but right now it is very likely she is going to Michigan. Unless she changes her mind! | |

| Nothing signed, still taking visits, also offered by another social work powerhouse, but right now all signs point to Ann Arbor. | |

I've done my research and I've got her as a commit on signing day. Steve L just put in a CB for her too. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

https://247sports.com/Player/Osman-Savage-46041191/ IMO Osman is probably a guy right now but has full dude potential. I can see what Don Brown likes in the kid. I'm pretty sure he caught the staff's eye as an 8th grader. He's played some big time football games at St Frances (Paramus, IMG and Rock Hill) and he's showed out in every game. BTW He also plays RB. His frame is perfect so hopefully he can add size and speed properly under Michigan's strength and conditioning. Far as I can tell this kid is not just a way in to St Frances. He's a kid they've had their eye on for quite some time but that said, I believe UM has around 10+ scholarship offers to kids at St Frances. Don't quote me on that number though, I'd have to do some research on the exact number but it feels like that many offers. It's definitely a talent pool they want to tap into. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| quick update on my thoughts on 2020 recruiting.
As of this moment, Michigan is SOOO far behind the curve on elite prospects that it's alarming. It looks like this will be the second year in a row that they let the top recruit (another O line kid) out of the state and to add insult to injury I'd bet that he ends up at O$U. With the struggles on O line for the past decade + it's hard to image letting your biggest need to go your biggest rivalry but that is the world we must live in as UM fans.
Don't let last year's top B1G class fool you, Michigan is struggling mightily on the recruiting trail and if Harbaugh doesn't get it together soon (meaning win some important games) then he will be in a downward spiral on the recruiting trail before he knows it.
Putting a fence around new jersey in his first year may still pan out (jury still out).
Recruiting Georgia like he has will pan out (IMO) but is yet to be seen.
Putting all of his chips into one school (st frances) is foolish and it shows desperation to me but what do I know.
O$U, coming off the season they had, coming off the coaching changes they had and coming off the turnover they had is still in line to crush UM on the recruiting trail this year.
I wish I had a better outlook. this year's recruiting might be ugly to watch pan out. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh
