I'll be the first to admit I was wrong about this kid.

two years ago I was so upset that we "settled" for him. I had all of my chips in the Cassius Winston basket and spoke out highly against that loss in the recruiting game. I was completely of the mindset that JB couldn't get UM basketball to the next level without recruiting wins like that (and I still somewhat feel that way) but at this moment I couldn't enjoy the taste of my foot in my mouth any more that I do now. I am fully on Team Z right now. This kid as "It" and I couldn't be happier to be wrong and I couldn't be happier that he's wearing maize and blue.  

I can't get my #3 jersey in the mail soon enough.

let's continue to work on the FTs though ha ha

When you recruit cleanly in college hoops, you will almost never land the big fish.  But you get the character guys that play hard, and that's what JB gets.  FYI, Z made Winston look horrible all game long.

Z outplayed Winston significantly in both of our games against MSU. he has been so important too our success. I think the emergence of Simmons (even though he missed a couple of good looks yesterday he played good D and did not turn it over) to spell Z a little bit, has made Z's defense even better.

He also seems to have a nice rapport with Teske which bodes well for next year if Mo does not come back.
