Out for the Peach Bowl. Thinking about Butt, I can't blame him. He also has a kid to look out for. Time to get paid.

Haven't seen him projected in the first couple of rounds. Think he is about 50-50 to make an NFL team. Hope he does.

Bush and Gary make sense. Both are nursing injuries and are projected 1st rounders. Bush even stated that he hasn't been cleared to practice so why rush it?

Yeah, I think the thread got moved around.

I agree about Higdon.

Hell, it's hard enough finding a mock draft. Any that are any good are behind pay walls.

So, if he's not playing in the Peach Bowl, why play in the Senior Bowl then? Just asking a question..

Good question. Unless it was strongly suggested he play in that game.

My only guess is there may be more NFL scouts there?? I don't know. If so, I guess I can't blame him.

That's an excellent point. I guess they do get paid for the senior bowl.

Answer - Scouts. Higdon has been a major part of the Michigan run offense for 3 years. By this time people should know who he is and how he runs. There is enough tape on him to make decisions but seeing him live will make a greater impression. I think he's better than his projection and I think he's trying to prove that. There will be way more scouts at a senior bowl than there will be at a peach bowl. just my opinion

Not criticizing Gary or Bush, first rounders who have had recent injuries. Not even really criticizing Higdon. What I don't get though is this "time to go get paid, care for your family etc," and that any fan who isn't openly praising them for skipping the bowl is somehow a bad person. Higdon is not going to be "getting paid" and setting his family up for life by being a 4th or 5th round pick. Odds are that even if he makes a roster he won't still be on one 3 years from now.

Hope he graduates because he will need a plan B. I also suspect he may one day regret not playing in his final game with his teammates.
