| it fell apart when App St went into a zone. We got lost and tried going one on one. The couple times they reversed the ball they did well.
Better figure out how to attack that or everyone will play it against us.
Also X had probably the worst game I've ever seen him have.

| First game with a new coach, new system, new pace. Simpson sucked last night. I bet it's a long time before we see that again. Franz hasn't played, yet. Things will be fine. There will be turbulence. Patience. | |

| Still looking for a back-up? For Teske? Castleton may be the best back-up center in the league. | |

| Castleton looks stronger, and he's tall. Got quite a bit of love from the broadcasters. Question: where was Austin Davis? | |

| Austin WHO? he's only mop up time and anytime we need extra fouls.
Castleton is going to be a star.
Man, 7'1" and 6'11" on the court at the same time!

Teske looked good in the middle , but still looking for a backup. Simpson has to eliminate the turnovers and we need to find a #2 scorer or they are just going to double Teske.
Wrong! They are D-1, always have been. Even back during "the horror" in 2007. They were still D-1, just in the sub-division then (for football only). They are currently in the top level. https://www.appstate.edu/athletics/ /quote] Oh my bad thought I read someplace that they were D-2 in Basketball maybe its just my reading skills.

Oh my bad thought I read someplace that they were D-2 in Basketball maybe its just my reading skills. The difference between D-1 and D-2 is immense. Typically if you're in D-1 for something you're D-1 in everything as it's based on school size. The exception that proves the rule in this case would be in hockey. Because there are only, I believe 61 D-1 college hockey programs there are several schools that are D-2 in size who play D-1 hockey. Mainly because they're that good at hockey (Northern Michigan, Ferris St., Denver, LSSU, etc.) and also because hockey at the D-2 level was eliminated in 1999. Technically there are a small smattering of schools that only play D-2 schools but there is no recognized NCAA championship at that level. Most of the good to decent schools of that size play D-1. Here's the kicker, Colorado College actually competes at the D-3 level in every sport EXCEPT men's hockey and women's soccer (where they are D-1). https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colorado_College https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NCAA_Division_II_Men%27s_Ice_Hockey_Championship
