| Wow, is that someone's house or is that a campground?
I ask campground simply because it kinda looks like one with the trees and the way the 'road' is set.
Either way, awesome. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

| It is a home, most likely in Artist's "area".
But like Artist says, we see a lot of different things.
We saw a pig painted pink with hooves and a pigs nose and a corkscrew tail. It was pretty funny.
I get to see funny street names ore areas. "Big Beaver Road" "Home of the Eskimos" "Podunk Street NE"
And using my GPS is fun sometimes too.
One time I came to an intersection, I swear to God it said on the screen:
"Turn Left (East) on West Wright St."
I thought I took a screen shot of it but can't find it anywhere.

| Yeah, I had one friend who used to live in Troy and one friend who used to live in Rochester so I've driven past that exit many times.
But I love that picture in the original post. A few years back, a neighbor of mine set up his Christmas lights to cover his whole roof in the shape of the block M in maize and blue lights. It looked really great. I always regret not taking a picture of it.

| Umm, WH, you also have ANOTHER friend "Who used to live in Rochester".
Rochester NEW YORK, that is...
By the way, friends, there was no link that I could see, so I have no clue as to what Joe and the rest of you were talking about

| Well Joe posted a picture in the original post of a huge propane tank (I think that's what it is...I'm young folks) painted all blue with a big maize Block M on it.
Then the convo evolved to talking about Big Beaver Rd. So pics were added. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

By the way, friends, there was no link that I could see, so I have no clue as to what Joe and the rest of you were talking about Newly painted Maize and Blue with a huge M in the middle. My wife actualy took the picture yesterday up in the "northern Lower Peninsula". (Which leads me to ask the question, since they always call it the U.P. why don't they call us the L.P.?) (They actually call us TROLLS!(We live under the bridge!!!)) Then it degraded from there to dirty minded stuff. (no issue with that though) _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| U.P., that's an easy answer. People used to say up in the Upper Peninsula. Well, as you can see UP and U.P. are the same word. | |

Rochester NEW YORK, that is... Yeah, I realized that as soon as I hit "send." My friend who lived in Rochester, MI, I remember getting sick of the long drives out there for visits. This is a perfect example of be careful what you wish for. Because she eventually moved to Columbus. But she does tell me every so often how famous I am there. She once overheard a co-woker say, "There's this WolverineHistorian jerk on YouTube. I hate that guy."

| Hehe--- "famous" is RIGHT...and in the proper vein: being HATED in Columbus. And, WH, I wasn't aware your ex-Rochesterian friend was the "she" you've mentioned in passing in the past. I'd say that right there, even were I your age, would put this ex-Rochesterian in second place!
But not so jokingly, I despise the "ex-" part (in my case, not hers). Central Maryland is way too congested and overpopulated, and lacks the open countryside in close proximity, as I benefitted from back home. Miss it.
But back to 'M' football: you DO know what day of the week tomorrow is, no? And that something's expected of you! (Hint: has the same initials as the hexidecimal symbol for "high value": x'FF'...!!)

| The propane tank with the Block 'M' is actually quite common. Big Beaver Road is always funny, you know EVERYONE gets on the Big Beav'... Wear a condom when driving that road, it's really busy.
I guess that I'm spoiled for growing-up in SE Michigan. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
