That just tells me that the Chargers feel that they did a good job getting him in the later rounds.

Unless it's required by the league (I don't really know), you don't sign a 7th round kid to a four-year deal unless you think he's going to be a solid player.

NFL contracts are not guaranteed, so I wouldn't read to much into it, but good for him.

Hmmmmm..interesting. Not sure what to make of it. Four years seems pretty good to me. I understand contracts are not guaranteed but do you think teams do a contract like this for all of their late rounders?

Steelers signed their 4th and 5th rounders to 4 year contracts.

BUCS sign both 7th rounders to 4 year contracts. I guess it must be pretty standard.
