| I can only speak for myself, but I am sick of the new uniforms every year. It is beginning to cheapen tradition to me. Enough of the games. I know Oregon attracted a lot of media attention, and eventually some great recruits, with this ruse, but now it is just lame.
Again, just my personal point of view.

| The news about the numbers on the helmet going away after Alabama isn't new. We had a post up about that a couple weeks ago, I want to say. Nevertheless, I'm glad they're going away.

| Really? Wow, I must have missed it. Remember back in the Spring I ran into Ian Hume (Hockey Equipment Manager) at a baseball game? He said that he didn't know but thought they'd be back although it was Coach Hoke's decision. | I do remember that story.
I wasn't happy about it lol.
But yeah, the news really came out right when they unveiled the Bama jerseys. Talked about the special jerseys, and the numbers on the helmets, but the presser noted that that would be the only game for the numbers.

Again, just my personal point of view. Amen and hallelujah!!! I love how that write up says our uniforms for the Bama game are "nifty." Yeah, piping and yellow shoulders is nifty. Remember when we had this?  I guess you can never go home again. | |

I'm an old man at heart when it comes to traditions that never needed tweaking in the first place. Some things I'm happy to budge on like playing a night game at the big house. Absolutely no problem with that. But messing with the best uniforms in college football? Ummmmm...no. We can't have our normal kick ass uniforms for special games anymore. Goodness, no. We have to have legacy jerseys for our first ever night game with Notre Dame and "special" alternate uniforms for the Sugar Bowl and those abomination looking whatever the hell those things were for the MSU game. Stop the madness, Dave Brandon. Just stop! | |
