Not seeing what the coaches are seeing in this kid yet. Doesn't really impress me offensively or defensively. With Horton out we need someone to step up.

They see that he is better than Vogrich, and that is where he is getting his minutes.

I haven't seen much out of him. Vogrich is at least a threat from three and the occasional back door cut. Hopefully Levert will start to contribute more but so far he hasn't shown anything.

This is just my best guess, but I think maybe Beilein sees something in him, and by playing him now, he's hoping that his game will be coming around late in the season in time to provide valuable minutes off the bench during the tournament.
