| I agree with him. I know he wasn't a good fit, but I think he is absolutely right when he said "The Chad Hennes and the Jake Longs put the work in and succeeded before us, and guys behind them thought they were entitled to the same status but hadn’t proved anything.” Because you know those two and others put in the work.

I also suspect there is some truth to this. I think RR was a bad fit here, and made a ton of mistakes, but I think there were a LOT of people who contributed to the problems in his years here.

| Yeah, I would never defend RR, I'm glad he is gone, and he was a horrible fit, but I do think there were some entitled players there at the time. | |

| Kids were entitled???? I am shocked!!! These kids come from schooled where they are the best of the best of the state. They have recruiting sites and fans drooling all over them. Of course they feel entitled. It's the coaches job to get their heads right and perform as a team.
I think RR needs to look at himself on this one. I say this as someone who thinks RR got a bad rap.

As you know, I read it twice, and it didn't change my mind about RR. He sucked and whined.

Definitely agree with this. He also had a problem with putting his foot in his mouth while he was here. He probably needs to use more coachspeak and learn when to blow off a question.

| Rich Clod should have realized when he took the job that some people will feel that way when they get to The University of Michigan. It is The University of Michigan. He needs to let it go, we let him go long ago... _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Oh Cmon folks- he has barely commented (on the Mich experience) in the last 2 years- despite being put up to it by reporters constantly. He could have said much much more and I respect him for the restraint he has shown.

| Huh? Sure, he's answering questions about it which were asked by the media but why is he answering them? Let it go richie, let it go... _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

'shoes Probably true shoes. He is probably constantly badgered about it. He answers once in a while and everyone jumps on him and thinks he won't let it go.

He answers once in a while and everyone jumps on him and thinks he won't let it go. yep and in RR's defense 5* CB JT Turner felt privileged and thought he could show up late and overweight and RR showed him the door. When I read how that all went down in "3 and Out" I thought the same thing to myself. Like, who the hell does this kid think he is. Congrats, you earned your scholarship but you've only just begun buddy. You can't just think that because you were the boss in High School that playing for the University of Michigan was going to be a right. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| Those idiots are everywhere but it's how to deal with those self-rightous people that make you a good Coach. How did Coach Hoke pull off an 11-2 season following a 7-5 one from Coach Clod? The hillbilly from West Virginia deserved every ounce of criticism he got. And I was one of the "he needs more time/his own players" guys until he lost to sparty for the third time. I defended him from spartys/bucknuts/some Michigan fans until that 3rd loss. I gave the guy plenty of chances, partially because I wanted him to succeed as that would mean that Michigan was doing well, but you only get so many mulligans...
Burn in Az rr, burn. He took a big shiat on my school and for that he will never be forgiven. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Turner would have been nice had he worked out.
I was not a big fan of RR, but I wish him the best at Arizona.

| I wanted RR to succeed, but gave up on him after his last Iowa game. It could have been 3rd and 45, and Iowa would have gone for and made it. His pass defense was pathetic. The Illinois game....I don't even want to think about it. | |
