Johnny No School

Looks like Manziel will not be seen on campus much taking classes. He is allegedly taking his classes online. I am sorry but this sets a horrible precedent. Does anyone actually believe he will be taking online classes? Hell how would they know he isn't paying someone to take the classes for him? Give this about 10 years and all the top players will be doing this.

It's up to TX AM to be on the up and up about it. Then again with the corruption in the NCAA, it would be easy to cheat.

As the article states, they clearly wouldn't do anything to jeopardize his eligibility, but as Willie points out, perhaps allowing kids to take online classes only isn't a good 'precedent'.

You know they need to just do a minor leagues for football and end all this crap. Let the players get paid. Let them skip school. They can hang out smoke blunts, get tattoos and ride in all the cars they want by day and ball out on the weekends. Or in the case of Alabama kids they can even commit felonies.

I hate to say it but I do not see how the NCAA or anyone else will be able to stop this downward spiral.

ha online classes. no doubt the sec is jumping on this idea. i dont know about anybody else, but is it me, or does this guy rub anyone else the wrong way? he looks like a sleaze. he was arrested twice before even got on campus, and then he's posting pics of him holding a large amt of cash at a casino, and calls people haters for being suspicious. "johnny football"...all that hype makes me want to puke.

Whether he looks like a sleaze or not, you have to remember he's just a kid. He doesn't know what he's doing. I'm sure he's being pulled every which way by all kinds of people. He better get it strait though and TAM better get this kid on a short leash and real quick or he'll "Johnny No Future" before he knows it.

If the kid had no talent he looks like the prototypical sparty QB...
