Reviewing the '13 schedule: an upset Chicagoan

For whatever reason, I guess I never took a real deep look into our schedule next year (that's actually BS, I just didn't notice what I'm about to complain about....)

WE DON'T PLAY ILLINOIS THIS YEAR? SPECIFICALLY, WE DON'T PLAY IN CHAMPAIGNE THIS YEAR???

Two years ago was amazing. Living here in Chicago, I was able to catch our boys both at Northwestern and down at UofI. All winter long I've been chalking up those two games, plus ND and OSU, as my gauranteed four games this season.

Then yesterday, after checking out stubhub for tix, I realized we don't play UofI.

Me no likey.

That's it.

I live in the U.P., so the closest game for us is @ Wisconson. Who knows when they will play @ Wisconsin again.

I think I'm going to go to the Northwestern game this year.

Have you ever been up here for a UofM game at NW?

They're a blast inside the stadium....it's essentially a home game.

No, I have never been to NW. I'm thinking the crowds may change now that NW is good. But maybe not.

No, I have never been to NW. I'm thinking the crowds may change now that NW is good. But maybe not.

In the end, it still comes down to Econ 101: supply and demand.

The secondary market tickets will be aplenty...who's going to buy them?

I fully expect at least a 60/40 split in favor of UofM.

Boy, you've been to some tough games. That 54-51 game still chaps my ass...and that monsoon game, well, hell, it was a MONSOON.

I've benn to NW for two UofM games as well" '04 or '05 when Avant made that ridiculous one-handed TD grab, and then the game two years ago.

I've also been to Evanston for a pair of NW/IU games, including last season (worked out perfect, Michigan had a bye that week).
