Denard embodies everything that is good about college sports.

Great read. Shows how mature he is.

It's pretty amazing when you consider he's the first from his family to graduate; and incredibly that there is NFL money waiting for him, but he's seemingly unfazed by it. That shows such maturity because it's rare that anyone at that age understands what a pipe dream an NFL contract is, and that an NFL career and it's big money is short-lived.

When I was Denard's age, I would have viewed even the league minimum as big time money, and anyone would be set for life. In reality however, the avg NFL career is like 3-4 years, and there is no security. That money can disappear in a hurry, even w/those that are frugal. Any old timers here would know from mortgage, bills, taxes, family, investments good and bad.

With that said, Denard just gets it.

Great read, indeed.

I already miss him, but when Aug 31 rolls around and we don't see him come flying out of that tunnel, it will really set in.

Go Blue and Go Shoelace.

My whole point is that he's still at Michigan. He's still a student at Michigan, sure his eligability is gone but he is it. Denard is Michigan, not so much Michigan Football INHO. The guys is Michigan though.

that's some first ballot hall of fame stalking on your part. How in the world did you find that guy. I guess the better question is why?
