First off I noticed a few changes to the GUI here on the site. So far as I can tell everything working better except the
Insert/Modify Link button on the menu bar above.
As expected, when I click on the button a dialogue box opens with two fields, "URL" and "Description". The URL field is auto populated with the
http:// prefix. So technically I should be able to type or paste a site URL in there and be good to go. However, I noticed that after you post your reply and try to click on the link in that reply, it never works. I've figured out what the problem is but I don't know why it's happening or how to fix it.
It seems that if I were to
use the
Insert/Modify Link button and enter www.yahoo.com, when I click on the link my browser opens a new tab and in the address bar it shows as http//www.yahoo.com and that doesn't work. It should say http
://www.yahoo.com.
I'm not sure if I'm the only one experiencing this issue. If so then I'll just live with it and every time I click on a link I'll be sure to enter the colon in http:// and reload the page and go on my way but if everyone is having this issue than maybe we should look into it. If you need help then feel free to pick my brain, I'm the resident software engineer and I do have quite a bit of web development experience on both the front and back end so I may be of some assistance but no guaranteesĀ
BTW I use firefox as my browser.
