Devin is closer to a Pro-style QB than Denard is/was. Personally, I think that Borges will be able to do what he actually wants to do with Devin as QB. With Denard he basically had run plays and teams could stack the box against the run. Denard could throw, just didn't have any intelligence or accuracy with his throws. Devin is accurate, a student of the game, and can run (no where near what Denard could do but he is still a great runner- think Vince Young in college). Devin can actually throw the ball well so whenit's there Devin will recognize the pass and hit his receiver. When it isn't Devin will take off on his feet.
I don't want to get too homerish but I'm looking forward to big things this year. Growing pains are the only things that concern me. 12-2 with losses to Notre Dame and Northwestern, two victories over ohio in consecutive weeks, plus a Rose Bowl win over Oregon.
