Didn't they basically do the same thing with JT? I mean fire him and still pay them. I understand it's a bit different here because Gee resigned and this is his retirement package. At least I think that's the difference.

The deal also will cover the cost of tax preparation and penalties Gee incurred as a result of corrections the university made in reporting his income for 2009, 2010 and 2011.
