Our defense gave up 30 points. We only touched the QB a couple of times. What? One sack? and almost no hurries. If I heard right Devin was our leading rusher also. That's no good if that happens all year.

Mark May is an idiot. Sorry to say it when he says something good about Michigan.

Top 10 team? Yeah. Because of our offense though. We've got a long way to go but I believe this team is pretty damn good.

Conservative defense to not allow big plays.  Devin was the leading rusher but only had a few carries.  Broke one big one.  Fitz looked pretty good against a tough D.

On Sep 8, 2013?? No, but only because our D hasn't proven that they can play at that level...YET. You are talking about our D being able to stop the offenses of Ala, Oregon, Suskeyes and Clemson. Not there yet, but we can be with the YOUNG talent we have. Just need to give it time to grow!

Who are your top 5?

It's waaaaaay too early to consider who are the top 5 teams (Michigan or no Michigan) right now.  We're only 2 games into the season and nobody has played anybody save for a couple teams.

Mine would NOT include Texas or USC!!! Bwaaaaaha!

You can make a couple of arguments for or against our D. I personally think they played conservative last night to not allow ND a big play and a momentum swing. Then again the numbers that I saw on ESPN today showed without a doubt that the few times they did blitz they razzled Reese and his numbers were not good. Our redzone D was really good. NDs last 3 trips into the redzone only got them 3 points. I think our D is a lot better than we showed last night but that said we're still not a top 4 team.

with the limited action I've seen from only being week two I'd say my top five in order are Alabama, Stanford, Oregon, Clemson and Tex A&M. We're a top 10 team and so is O$U. I would like to see a bit more from Louisville but their schedule is weak so it's going to be hard to gauge them. LSU and Georgia will answer my questions on them when they meet up in two weeks.

I also want to see how well O$U does against Cal next week. Their freshman QB is lighting teams up.

Cal is coming off a very non-impressive 37-30 win over Portland State. And their freshman QB threw two pick sixes against Northwestern last week. OSU gets no bonus points from me for beating up on Cal.
