| Tradition means a lot to us old farts. Besides that, he's played like shit since he started wearing it. And also, there have been plenty of great QBs whose numbers he could be wearing. And, yes, because I say so! It's MY opinion. | |

| I hate the whole idea of "Legends jerseys". What if this program was in place when Braylon Edwards was in college? Edwards would have worn #21 and the #1 Michigan jersey would not have the meaning it has now. If we keep putting our best players in "Legends jerseys", then no player can ever make another # legendary. I'd like to see Jabrill Peppers take a number like 7 and make us thing of the #7 jersey like we think of the #2 jersey.
I think the only people that get the honor of wearing a "Legends jersey" are seniors. Show us that you are dedicated to Michigan football. Show us that you would rather play a 4th year for Michigan then declare for the draft. If you have NFL talent but give all of that up for one more year to play for Michigan, then you earn the honor of wearing a "Legends jersey". There is no way we should be giving that honor to a true sophomore.

| Hail thats a good point, I mean how legendary is Funchess he more a flex player than a TE. Yea he is very good, but what happens if say Butts become a super TE,but Funchess has Kramers # give it to SR and only the one who are out frekin standing keep the meaning. | I've never been a fan of the 'Legends' jersey.
The practice was already in place with the #1, and it didn't have a specific name to it (Legends).
The #2 should have been treated exactly as the #1 always has been beginning the year Woodson left (98).
As for the other numbers, meh.
I've never complained about them, per se, but I'm not a huge fan.

| Oh, I should also mention that I do think the patch on the jersey is ugly as hell and unnecessarily large.
