| 1) How much longer until we can safely assume there will be no staff changes?
2) Will UM be ranked in the top 25 to start 2014 season? _________________ “And I remember across those years Two banners that crowned the crest, When Yale was king of the conquered East, And Michigan ruled the West.”

| 1) Have no idea---must defer to Shoes' statement.
2) W.G.A.F.????? What do pre-season rankings mean, and how often do they accurately augur a team's true performance? (C.I.P.---wasn't there this 3-9 team last year named Auburn????)

| I sure they will wait till after signing day, I was thinking the same thing, depending on if they get moved or get fired, Michigan will not and should not be in the top 25 maybe the top 40. They have nothing to show they belong there at all. _________________ "HAIL HAIL MICHIGAN" Wanted John Harbaugh but I'll settle for JIM WITH AN ENTHUSIASM UNKNOWN TO MANKIND GOOO BLUE The Curse of Rich Rod

In the BCS era pre season ranking actually meant a lot. I can only think of one team off hand that came in ranked out of the top ten that played in the NC game (ND 2012). I'm not quite sure how the formulas work now for figuring out the rankings but in the past it has been next to impossible to climb the rankings and get into the NC game. Not that I think UM will actually be in the NC game. Just my two cents. _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

| I disagree with it being next to impossible to climb the rankings.
If Michigan goes undefeated they will be in the playoff whether they start at 100 or 18. Boise St has proven you can climb from no where to in the discussion several times.
I think it is more accurate to say it is highly unlikely for a major program to come out of nowhere and far exceed the expectations of pre-season polls.

This is much more correct than how I worded it. It is mostly what I was thinking but I also stand by the fact that provided that a scenario like this year and Auburn or last year and Notre Dame doesn't happen then you were out before you ever had a chance to get in. I can use your Boise argument in my favor as well. It's an "agree to disagree" argument that I hope is now moot now that the BCS system is gone. Does anyone know if there will be a computer system like the BCS had to calculate rankings to determine the teams that get into the playoffs? _________________ Sometimes people standing on third base think they hit a triple, but they didn't - Jim Harbaugh

2) Will UM be ranked in the top 25 to start 2014 season? ESPN put out a 2014 pre-preseason ranking this morning and UM is not in the top 25. MSU is 6, OSU 9, Wisconsin 15 and Iowa 21. Go Blue!!
