As in, not Michigan basketball...but NCAA basketball nonetheless.

Folks, name me the last team that was a gigantic, humungous a tank job down the stretch as
Syracuse this season???

Ranked No.1 at one point of their season, at which point they were 25-0, they had double-digit victories
over Villanova (another tourney tank job) and Carolina.

And they went 2-4 the rest of the regular season, and 1-1 in their ACC tourney and THE tourney.

With yesterday's loss to Dayton, coach Jim Boeheim becomes the all-time "leader" in this dubious NCAA
tourney category: most losses to a double-digit seed (Dayton was a 14). (Coach B now has 6, one more
than---ye gods---Mike K, among others)

Not the kind of season our 2013 Final Four victim was expecting to see unravel as recently as late Feburary...

well O$U is a VERY close second this year if you ask me. Meaning they started hot but fizzled fast. I can't think of many other teams though

This has been the norm lately with Syracuse but then someone had to point out the one exception which was last years final four visit. That aside, Syracuse has been underachieving in March more times than not.

Duke also fits that bill. Lost to 15 seed a couple of years ago. Lost this year to a 14.

Iowa has to be close.... Remember back in January when Iowa, MSU, and Michigan were the top 3 favorites to win the Big Ten? Iowa then finishes 9-9 and loses the play in game to the NCAAT.

Iowa would be my choice, they looked so well then funked so bad. I thought that they may even go a little in this tourney
