| said he had a great visit at Michigan this weekend, but he didn't commit. He's from Pinkerington, OH, 25 minutes outside of Columbus. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we get him.
He's a TE, #96 player in country according to Rivals, for anyone unfamiliar with him.

| I actually think we stand a shot. It's just like all of the A2 High School students that go to sparty out of spite... _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| I think landing Taco last night may help us. He's also from Pinkerington. Don't attend the same HS, but probably on rival teams and definitely know each other. We need Taco to be a little Shane Morris and start recruiting that TE. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

| Why does Steve Watson's locker have a Jake Long jersey hanging in it? | |

| That may have been a recruit we had visiting this weekend?? Every kid who comes for a visit has a jersey made for them, and it's gotta be hung somewhere.
But definitely interesting considering it's #77 and has Long as the last name.
Maybe Jake was back for the weekend, and wanted one of the new jerseys?
Good spot, fish. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

Good spot, fish. I'm actually thinking it's to show some of the studs that have came through Michigan. Any OL recruit who knows anything about football knows who Jake Long is. By hanging his Michigan jersey there the coaches can say, "Look who played 4 years here. Wouldn't it be nice to see your jerrsey hanging in the same locker room as Jake Long's has in the past? And maybe in 10 years your jersey can be hanging here to helf influence another prospect to come here. It's about family & tradition here, family & tradition." _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

I don't know Jake personally, but he does go to high school with my grandson, so I have seen him play. North (Jake's school) and Central (Taco's school) do have quite a rivalry. Can't say it is total hate, but....... We really DO need to get Jake in this class. Very athletic and lots of room to grow. And from what I have heard in the past UM is his favorite by a large margin. Go Blue!!! | |

"Lunch with my dad then making a key phone call" or something to the effect.
