| on BTN live made a great point. This team has no leadership to show them what it takes to win a championship. Made the point of winners breeding winners and UM is F'ed in that sense moving forward.
then Glen Mason said what everyone else has been saying for years, that the team never seemed pissed about losing. They would always say they were disappointed and they were working hard and yada yada. Marcus Ray chimed in and said losing was the absolute worst thing when he played. Not beating up girls, not DUIs, not barfight suckerpunches, etc. it goes without saying that the leadership made sure that didn't happen and their main focus was winning. I thought that was a great point.
If I had to put it at a very high level I'd say these are the things missing
1. toughness 2. hunger 3. fear

| Agree, that's why Jimmah seems to be the best choice. Jimmah instills each of those things in his players. Miles I'm not so sure about. You can't really argue with the results but Les doesn't seem that tough, I don't see the hunger with Les, and how could you be afraid of Les? That being said I'm not saying No to him, but as of now I'm not asking him either. Let this play out, make Jimmah say No or take the job and then go forward. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

Maybe he's raising his voice for all of the blue-hairs? _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Isn't that why you need captains starting with spring ball? Maybe new coach lets team select 2 guys now, 2 more in August. Need 4 strong leaders who aren't afraid to tell a teammate to get his had out of his ass, to practice, lift, condition better, etc.
My 2 cents which I mentioned in other posts, the team wasn't afraid, didn't fear Hoke. You can be a players coach, a coach the team really likes but there has to be that line the players know you don't cross. If you do cross it, there will be hell to pay. | |

| My personal take on Brady's biggest fault.....he wanted to be to much like a father to the guys, calling them sons, etc. and it was almost like he didn't want to discipline them. Did you ever see him get in their face when they screwed up? No, he clapped & patted them on the butt. Pretty hard to instil toughness doing that. | |
