as someone who follows recruiting religiously I'd argue that the class probably wouldn't fill up in the one month remaining. Yes there were limited numbers this year anyway but to get 9-10 kids in one month might be stretch even for the most optimistic UM fans.
The real problem is that whatever recruits they do get they will all probably be 3rd and 4th option guys at best. We let the Taylors, Harris', KLS', Weber's, Clarks, etc all slip away and there's no guarantee that hiring Jim would bring them back and that hurts.
I'm of the opinion that this year is a loss in the recruiting department. I don't think there is any other way to spin it. The only win (and it's not a for sure thing) is that if the class doesn't fill up and we hit a grand slam and get Harbaugh then he would have a few more spots for next year's class.
