| My darkhorse pick to make the final 4 is 5 seed Utah.
Anyone else have any that are not 1,2, or 3 seeds?

| I am really struggling this year. Hard to think KY will fall. They are just too loaded. I have a tough time buying Duke who has been underperforming in the tournament lately. They are talented though. Everyone is going to have KY winning which makes me want to pick someone else.
I am strongly considering Kansas losing in the first round. If not they will lose in the second.

| This is my favorite time of year to turn small investments into big payoffs. It's the one time my year-round following of college basketball pays off a little. _________________ | |

| A few quick tips:
Virginia's best player is nowhere near 100% and they just aren't the same team they were earlier. Because of this, I have Villanova making the Final 4 in a lot of my brackets.
Duke has depth issues and that does not bode well for them. I have 5 different combinations of championship games and they are only in it once. Those 5 combinations are: Kentucky over Nova Kentucky over Duke Nova over Kentucky Arizona over Nova Arizona over Gonzaga
I think that Kentucky and Arizona are hands down the best teams in the country when playing at their ceiling. I think they both have coaches who will get them to play at this ceiling throughout the tournament. Don't forget that this Arizona team is hungry after losing in the E8 to Wisconsin last year.
I have UNC beating Wisconsin in the Sweet 16 as my biggest shocker. UNC was a preseason top 10 team with a legendary coach. Wisconsin has suspect guard play and struggled with a handful of mediocre Big Ten teams. I don't think it's a lock by any means, but there is value in the upset considering how many people are in love with Wisconsin right now.
I don't have any 12s beating 5s despite what history tells us. _________________

| I have Arizona over Utah in the finals. I'm in a pool with 200 people and half of them picked Kentucky. To win the thing you have to have an under the radar pick go far. Utah had to really work for their win yesterday so that wasn't confidence-inspiring. I'm in good shape after day 1 but it's tough to have good days both Thurs and Friday, so we shall see. | |

| You're right about getting an under the radar pick. This year Kentucky ruined it for me. I just can't see anyone else but them.
SMU stung me a bit too. Put my faith in Larry Brown. Had them going to Sweet 16. Iowa St. broke a lot of brackets yesterday.

| I had Iowa State in the final four, oops. It appears the Big Twelve was highly overrated. My sleepers are the two Missouri valley schools in the elite eight. Northern Iowa looked really good yesterday, Wichita State looked pretty shaky, partly because I don't have much respect for IU, their opponent. Pretty good tournament so far, Thursday was absolutely crazy, even if most of it went against me.
My philosophy was to just pick Kentucky, then duke it out with the rest of the picks.

| I like both Northern Iowa and Wichita State too.
In a chalky day yesterday, I had mostly chalk and sit at 27-5, but there will be a lot of separation today and tomorrow, Hope Utah can win again.

| Well, good thing I make 5 brackets in the pool with a $2k 1st place prize. Three of them are ruined but I still have 8 Elite 8 teams alive in 2 of them. _________________ | |
