With Admin's MOM now in the fold, it might behoove us, even if SHE (and/or her son) denies the
need, to clean up/edit our, ahem, "vernaculars" in some of our posts...eh?

Shoot me. I'm getting old [-fashioned].

It's just that I wouldn't enjoy MY mom being subjected to f-bombs and other such "ordnance"
to the degree that would make Richard Pryor and Billy Martin (Lucifer rest his soul) proud...
leave that to the classless/clueless hordes from C'Bus and E.L.

Its not being old fashioned since I am 23 but I was thinking the same thing, its just respectful to tone things down a tad...not that were in church but still

I agree. I may use the occasional f-bomb from time, but I try not too.

Let's clean things up. I know we can use verbiage in this forum that is not allowed in others but, that should not allow us to be foul. Let's keep this forum civil. I'd be proud to think that this forum remains more mature. Hey, these forums have posters in their teens and well beyond and in all cases we need to be above the maturity level (as an example) of the other forum. I read some rather tasteless posts just recently on here and I hope we can clean it up. Come on...

IMO the cleaning up of this forum should not be exclusive to language. No mention of the porn being shown on here as of this posting. Personally I think that is far worse than the occasional expletive that invades our everyday life, not just in the forum world.

Language doesn't bother me, but the revealing avatars sort of cross the line.

True, Woody, particularly when we view and respond to posts AT WORK...who knows WHO could be looking over our shoulders?

Technically, no one even needs to be looking over your shoulder. There is a screen-shot of every web-site that you have ever visited on that computer. I was never that fond of the foul language use (although yes I may have dropped the occassional ugly word a time or two) or of the avitars even if I did keep track of who won the "unofficial contest" between 85 and StJoe.

I also reflect about Admin and myself's discussion on frat houses. I'm pretty sure that none of it crossed the line but if anyone was to use their imagination...

Embarassed
