OT: Peyton Manning

So the good old boy, squeaky clean image took a big hit. HGH allegations, now this.

So Manning whipped out his junk while an athletic trainer was examining him for a stress fracture. He denies everything, but the article seems to tell another story. Some may say, Manning was just a 19yr old kid, was just attempting to have fun, a dumb prank.

I was a student athletic trainer yrs. and yrs. ago, as someone in the profession, don't fine it funny. Now as 18-19yr old student trainer, what would have I done? If possible, as quickly as possible grabbed a tongue depressor and some cramergesic (heat rub) rubbed some on his junk. See if he's still laughing now.

Now what happen 20yrs people might not think its a big deal, but considering the resent federal lawsuit at Tennessee, claiming the school "created a student culture that enables sexual assaults by student athletes, especially football players, then uses an unusual legalistic adjudication process that is biased against victims that step forward"

So what's really been going with UT athletics for the last 20yrs? Yea, maybe the future commissioner Greg Sankey better start paying attention to what's going on in his conference & not worry so much about Michigan FB.

1.  People have known about this for 20 years.  He even wrote about it in his book. And the people that were there said he Mooney her, not whipped out his junk.

2.  Anything written by Shaun King should be ignored.  Dude has no credibility and even less integrity.

3.  The current culture at Tenn has nothing to do with the culture from 20 years ago.

Not exactly, one of the people that was there and witnessed it said the mooning story was fiction and that it happened as she said it did. The problem is not just that he did it as a 19 year old but that he and his father tried to smear her afterwords.

Fishgoblue, agree Peyton has done great things for kids. On twitter, someone wrote a letter to Greg Doyel @GregDoyelStar This gentlemen stated that his neighbors 3yr old son had cancer. Many times Peyton would visit the young kid in the hospital. He would bring him all kinds of Colts clothes, one of his jerseys & other memorabilia. One time he had the Colts organization fly the kid and his parents to NY for a experimental drug.

So no question Peyton does good things for kids, probably stories like above we never will know.

As for Shaun King, never read any other of his stuff, so I'll take your word.

But everything I have read, seen on ESPNs OTL, other ESPN stories, Peyton whipped out his junk as a 19yr old.

Fish, your #5, what we did yrs. ago, I got a good laugh! As a 18yr. old kid in 1978, frosh at WMU, 1st weekend all students back on campus. Toga party & progressive parties in the dorm rooms. 1 one room had a keg, another room would have whiskey, another vodka, etc. Many hrs. later, drunk, cute coed, school fountain...... I'm glad camera phones didn't exist at the time!!!

BTW, I'll deny this story, say somebody hacked my computer, haha!

I need to clarify. I think that what Manning did was wrong, but he also wa 19 years old and we all made some bad decisions at 19. Plus, they settled with the woman and I would assume she would want it put away so she can move on.

Shaun King has such a credibility problem that he was kicked out of the BLM movement. Yikes.

The biggest issue i have with this story is how the Mannings attacked this woman's reputation. They tried to smear her by saying she slept around with black guys (as if that isn't racist enough.) Then they tried to say she spoke like a truck driver. Not one witness said they ever heard her use vulgarity.

I was young once too, so I'm not perfect; but I never shoved my rectum and scrotum in someone's face. That is disgusting and to think he did it to a female?? This isn't some fraternity hazing. The Mannings' are a disgrace as far as my opinion goes.

If the father was black and accused a black woman of sleeping with white men no one would bat an eye. This narrative is getting beat to death while playing on this double standard. Stop drawing attention to it and the idiots will calm down.

All the media attention and activism is making things way worse.

uh, this has nothing to do with being "politically correct."  Archie Manning allegedly was spreading rumors of sleeping around with black guys.  The premise was not that she was sleeping around with guys, but with BLACK guys.  He was not just being innocently descriptive.  The obvious intent based on testimony (if true) was to hit her reputation and make her look like a trashy slut who does blacks.  

so this has nothing to do with the "liberal media" or "being too pc" or "race bating."   The point is, is that if the Mannings intended to smear the trainer in this manner, then they are scum.  

btw, I lived in the south about a decade ago, and from my experience there was far less racial hate than there is in many parts of the north.  that might not be true everywhere in the south, but in most of it, i can attest that in Chicago, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, PA, NY, Boston, and NJ the bigotry is worse.  anyway, moving on…disappointed to see some true colors of the Mannings, but I'm not surprised.

Tom Brady never shoved his balls in a trainer's face because he has too much respect for women and people.  I'll take him over those hypocrites.

Peyton wonders why he didn't win the Heisman. There it is Big'guy (or depending on the room temperature Lil'guy). He's a punk, no where near as much as Johnny Manziel but still a punk nonetheless.
