Actually, a point to be made, and a question to be asked.
[1] One of the biggest and most pleasant changes I've seen in our offense this year---and you have to look hard to see it, given that on big plays most eyes are on the ball carrier---is our downfield blocking. Everyone---from Jake, Khalid and Devin to Amara, Jehu and Grant, among others, are in on the act. Shoving corners and safeties out of the way long enough to add 10-15 yards to the play. Note I said [pleasant] "change", not "surprise"... nothing of improvement/quality is surprising with Jimbo's staff.
[2] Why, I ask you all---would anyone would to be associated in any frickin' capacity with Brian Kelly? Player, assistant coach, administrative staff, anything? How can a person who blames everyone but himself for his program's failures and shortcomings keep his job??? I mean, mother of Christ, it's a fact---and I've always felt it, ranging from governments of nations to the Penn State scandal---in a hierarchical structure, the man at the top takes the [ultimate] credit---or blame.
Except at Notre Dame, apparently...
Stanford's strength coach? How long before he goes off on opponents' team physicians?
