Tailgating Empty
PostSubject: Tailgating    Tailgating EmptyTue Oct 25, 2016 2:18 am

Suggestions on places other than the golf course to tailgate for the Indiana game?

Anybody have experience at "2100 club"?

Looking for:

-A place to park multiple cars
-A place that shuttles to/from the game
-A bonus would be a place that has the option of going inside if it's really chilly out (ie. a bar that has out door tailgating).

It's going to be a very special day so I'd like to be somewhere that doesn't ruin that.

Ahem, Shoes, HTTV said a very special day...not one which will, to steal an immortal phrase, live in infamy...

Joking aside, this stick-in-the-mud will confess to intense dislike of tailgating... (the football kind)

I have never been much of a tailgater either. My routine is to get into A2 early. Maybe get a coffee and donut at Sweetwater's, walk around campus, down State street, past the Union, soak up the atmosphere. The go down to Hoover, watch the Drumline show outside Revelli hall, get to the stadium early and watch warm-ups.

I had a great time tailgating at Purdue a few years ago, and IU last year. The tailgating at UM has never been that great for me. We are to cheap to pay for the golf course, and everything else is spread out. So we just had a couple beers and then walked around.

Lol shoes ... same routine for me and my son especially for the 3:30 games... early breakfast, then take in the museum at BO Hall , then go park on State street near the Union, get out and walk around the campus , making sure we see the Diag and the Cube , go to Moes shop and the M Den ... as for the game as well get there for the gates opening and take in all the pre game atmosphere.. amazing the first year we went , sitting there with maybe 2 or 3 thousand, next thing we know we look up and voila there is 100,000 plus .... unbelievable, and it still is 9 years later !!!! GO BLUE !!!!

I love tailgating! Setting up, cooking, watching the youngsters play beer pong or whatever. The younger guys have gotten really creative in their drinking games this year.

Getting ready to see a game with the people I love most! lol

That's why I moved back, but it's not the same. A Gen-X'r and Millennials do not mix. Plus it's not like I live on campus or anything.
