With Speight gone, JH has got to get whoever the backup is some meaningful snaps early. Open with ND so may both have a chance in that game, but after that it needs to happen.

I think Peters and McCaffrey will be working all winter and summer. They should be solid in the fall. If in fact neither are ready Michigan will be in a world of hurt. Michigan is putting a ton of expectation on 2 very young QB's but that what the situation is so it what it is..

Of course it can. I would just like to see the backup get some meaningful snaps. That hasn't happened in the 3 years JH has been here.
