| Given the Hoke emphasis these guys ae critical! Nominees? I'll go with Floyd/Roh/Kovacs on defense and Omameh/Lewan/Roundtree/Robinson on offense. Lewan since he may be going Pro after this year and is a three years starter and fourth year player. Plus he certainly is vocal. Ultimately, I'll say Kovacs/Floyd/Lewan/Robinson. Darkhorses Smith and Demens. | |

| I'll go with Kovacs and Robinson.
Lewan isn't leaving after this year. He needs to add strength to be considered an NFL LT. He will stick around for his RS SR season.

| Fish, I hope to hell you're right, but I see TL leaving after this coming season.
If he does stay, our OL in '13 will be nothing short of awesome, with he and Schofield back to be the foundation of a unit which will include (then-)soph Kyle Kalis and any number of candidates from the haul Brady and Co. have brought in.

| I'll go Kovacs, Denard, Demens and Lewan.
Doesn't matter the year of the player...if Hoke went back to tradition, they're voted by the players. And there have been some juniors voted in before, I believe. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

| Lewan doesn't strike me as a leader of the team. He's a fierce competator, but he just seems too quirky and too hot headed to be a leader. | |

| Ace Williams says Demens is in the doghouse. FWIW.
He is one of the players with Roundtree that tweeted congrats to McCray, but that is a non-story.

Is this Ace guy just a complete crock? Hard for me to believe much of what he writes when he doesn't even proofread his work. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

Not sure, Admin, but, yes, his less-than-perfect keyboard dexterity and/or command of the English language WOULD suggest more proofing. Could be he IS a phony, or could just be excited enthusiasm which didn't leave time(!) for double-takes. Go figure... Overall, not a bad blurb. (As to how accurate his info source is, |your guess| = |mine|). His typos notwithstanding, he definitely is a couple of levels above the typical MSU hack-writer. (Not that that's saying much) What struck me (by far) the most, though, were the praises he repeatedly sung of Big Will. While every fiber of my, your, and all our fellow posters' beings BEGS to believe Ace in that regard, the ingrained pessimism remains (mine, anyhow). I hadn't heard of the "extra coaching" in Sguar Bowl practices. But I find it at least somewhat plausible that (1) he DID hit the weights with a vengeance this past winter, and (2) he passed the "look test" with higher-flying colors than in previous springs. How those (and other) factors translate to on-the-field productivity are the $114,800 question.

| I honestly rarely click on chatsports links.
1 out of 500 times you might learn something you don't already know. Either that or you learn something that isn't true and will never come true.
Might as well read MLive forum. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| What part do you like, Admin? My replacing "64" or "64,000" with our sell-out Big House capacity, or my failure to use the singular (should have read, "IS the $114,800 question") ???
And here I rap that Ace-in-the-hole (or simply, as some of you insinuate, Ace-hole) guy for lack of proofing...

Haha jk Unfortunately Fritz wasn't at the game or else the one would have been there. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:
