| I hate this time of year! College football season is the best! This time of year we are waiting on the Daytona 500 a Super Bowl that barely fills the void. The weather sucks and I am waiing for national signing day, but that lasts for about a day. | |

Have you ever been on the forum during a game? Holy Shit the tenor changes with every play. "He sucks!" "He's Great!" it's hilarious

| I am playing super dad tonight as my wife is at work. now is as good a time as ever to get on and chat michigan football.
Speaking of UM football, any thoughts on landing Grant and using him as an O lineman. I was thinking Williams was our guy for that but Grant has the frame also. We will be short on TE next year (thanks for nothing barnett) so can you see Hoke rotating both into the O line and TE position?

| great point ... from what I have read I guess that Grant may stay at TE ..... if we finish with a couple more OL then I think both stay at TE as that is a weak position right now .... and in Borges offense the TE gets a lot of action !!!!! | |

| I see us getting Diamond. I think Kozan is going to Iowa. I do believe we get Grant. I think Williams will move to the O line but our lack of TEs will call for him to pull double duty and he will be used as a TE at least a few times next year. If nothing he'll be a blocking TE in some play packages.
I see Grant as a full time TE but his frame and athleticism could allow him to be used as a lineman. I know nothing of his blocking abilities so I can only speculate. Please help clue me in.

| You can have a cold one now that the kids are asleep. We won't tell.
Williams played tackle all fall for his HS team so the switch for him would probably be a tad smoother. I think it'll go like this.
Williams either a tackle or blocking TE Grant - combo tight end Funchess - receiving TE

| thought I read that like you say Williams is more of a blocking TE .... which as you say could see him pull duty at OT .... and that also Grant has better pass catching abilities with somewhat average blocking abilities .... | |

| Yea, we probably did. I've kind of been hearing that about Williams all fall anyway.
Borgess loves to use his TE's. I can see all of them playing early. I'd really like to get deep at that position to be able to go 2 and 3 TE's and still be a threat either running or throwing.

| look at what NEngland is doing with Hernandez and Gronkowski .... they really have no deep threat with speed ..... but they have a great passing game with the TEs and Welker ..... so yes having two or more great TEs can only help .... we have had many great ones over the years | |

| It used to be a staple of the O, loved the "waggle". Man, I sure wish we had Koger one more year. Or, for his sake, he would have had at least two years in this O. | |

| See the Orange Bowl vs Bama new years day 2000.
I would love to see some of those plays again.
Side note... it's great to watch the replay of that game and see Hoke on the sidelines.
