2014 QB Commit

Wilton Speight. Being that he is a 2014 there is not a lot of info on him. Not a lot of info or ranking on him but people are sounding like it is a big recruit. He currently does not appear to have any other offers.

Just saw that. 6'5", looks like he has a Mallet build.

One thing I have learned is offers for 2014 are not official until today. So that probably is why he does not have many offers.

Texted a friend of mine originally from Richmond, asking if he knows of th kid:

"Yeah, went to a rival high school of mine. Same school as Russell Wilson. Great build, good arm. Reminds me of Mike Glennon, slow as shit."

I said: "So, the old school Michigan QB then?"

His response: "Exactly. No Rich Rodriguez bullshit."

Wilton just received and accepted a invite to the UA All-American game. QB U is back!

I didn't realize that he missed almost his entire junior with a shattered collar bone. He redesignated to 2014 vice 2013. How does a high school Jr just become a high school Soph and stay another year?

The only thing I can think of is if the injury caused him to miss a lot of school. I know Austin Hatch redesignated after the plane accident. Outside of something like that I do not know how you would be able to do it. It's not like high schools are in the business of granting medical redshirts.
