Michigan returns to Final Four for first time since 1993

Trey was named the South Regions Most Outstanding Player and deservedly so. "The 3" was easily the most clutch shot of the entire tournament. It's makes Craft's three to beat Iowa State look lame. I told my buddy yesterday that if Trey hadn't hit "The 3" against Kansas then I thought McGary would have a shot at the region MOP. Take a look....

Trey's numbers were:
Points: 62
Rebounds: 12
Assists: 31
Steals: 6
Blocks: 2


McGary's numbers were:
Points: 70
Rebounds: 46
Assists: 2
Steals: 7
Blocks: 4


Any other year McGary might have been MOP. It's nice to have two guys on your team that can both make an argument for that award.

Seriously doubt it, Sandy. After all, if "The 3" doesn't go down, we lose the game...and since Mitch would have then had one less game played (3 vs. 4) in the tourney, I think the MVP of the [never-played] Kansas-Florida game would have gotten it. To base it solely on the UM-KU game, either Withey, or McLemore, the way the announcers were ballyhooing his return from two terrible games to one great one (against us).

Trey deserves MVP because a lot of McGary's production is a direct result of the respect teams have form Trey.
