Devin Gardner is only the 6th QB in B1G History to have a 500+ yard passing game and a 400+ yard passing game in the same season.

I don't know who the other 5 are. I tried to find it but couldn't. The best I could tell was Curtis Painter from Purdue had a 500+ game. If he had a 400+ game he would be one.

Anyone have any ideas?

Drew Brees seems like one good possibility.

I didn't see the question, but I think you may have read it wrong. I can only name 5. Drew Brees did it in two different seasons, though, so maybe they counted him twice. I'm thinking it may have been "It is only the 6th time in Big Ten history a QB has thrown for 500+ and 400+ yards in a single season."
