Regarding the Final Four (again)---

To Willie's thread below, I chimed in "Not OSU: Matta will figure out SOME way of keeping OSU out."

After watching last night, I doubt he'll have to spend TOO MUCH TIME at the "drawing board" to devise such a
strategy. Their outside shooting is definitely sub-par, and if OUR "big" men could contain Sullinger well
enough to force 16 threes (all of THREE of which went down)...?

That said, our big men AND their teammates did a great job, and coach B conceived a great gameplan,
for last night. Go Blue!

Outside shooting basically relies squarely on Buford and Craft. If Buford isn't feeling it, they really, really struggle.

More importantly, if that team doesn't realize real damn quick that JS is their best player and that he should touch the ball at least once EVERY possession, they are going to have a hard time making a deep tourney run.

Just my 2 cents.

Right on about Sullinger, admin. But I was amazed at how loathe Craft was to even take a shot, much less a trey. (He couldn't "take" OUR "Trey", either...for all the ballyhoo about his sensational defense).

You would think a point guard (.i.e., Craft) would be more of a factor. If they had Diebler back, I'd retract my statement and put them in the Final Four.
Without him, or any consistent (key word there) outside threat, I can't
see them winning the four straight, on neutral turf each time, and against all manner of different defenses, necessary to reach the FF.
