| One thing I must say about both the Illini and the Scarlet Knights (I saw most of our game, some of Sparty's): despite their shabby records, they both played with very high energy and enthusiasm at home last night...
Fortunately for us (and our 11-game streak over RU), Iggy had a career night, and the rest of our regulars played quite well [enough]. Didn't hurt ourselves at the FT line, either...
Still, I have to agree with every poster on this board: it DOES concern me how many minutes, game-in, game-out, our REGULARS-PLUS-TWO (Livers, Brooks) play. Not only the risk of injury, but also exhaustion/burnout...
And anyone who's played physical sports knows how much more injury-PRONE one's body is when performing TIRED...

This comes up every year. JB plays a core of 7 or 8 and that's it. He always has. Last season Wagner 27.6 min a game Matthews 30.1 Abdur-Rahkman 34.9 Robinson 25.8 Simpson 26.5 Poole 12.2 Livers 15.1 Teske 12.3 Brooks 10.0 Nobody else in double digits. 2016-2017 Walton 34.8 Irvin 35.4 Wagner 23.9 Wilson 30.4 Abdur-Rahkman 30.6 Robinson 20.1 Donnal 12.2 Nobody else in double digits.
