Sorry, just a proud Dad brag...

Yesterday, we celebrated my oldest son achieving the rank of Eagle Scout with a court of honor put on by his scout troop.

I know it's off-topic, but he's a big Michigan football fan. Cool

Doesn't matter, that is still an immense accomplishment. Especially in this day and age of video games and laziness.

Congratulations, I never made it past Webelo's....

You OUGHT to be proud, Pops! Given the immense quantity of, ahem, "distractions" for teens these days, and the wholesome nature of the scouting profession (if that's the word), you ought not only to be proud, but also grateful the boy had the stick-to, dedication and desire to conclusively pursue positive like this. Give him a pat on the back for me, too...

Eagle Scout, what a great honor. Congratulations to your son and to you. You have every right to be a proud Dad.

That's awesome, Blue. Congratulations certainly to your son, and more to you for obviously being a great father. And don't brush off the last part either, unfortunately there aren't that many around these days.

Congrats again. I'm sure your son will go on to accomplish great things in his life, and you'll be able to sit back and continue being a proud father.

Go Blue!

Oh yea, that will look good on his application to Michigan in a few years! Extra-curricular activities are vital (more so than grades/test scores, don't get me wrong, grades/test scores are important but as long as he meets the minimum his activities will set him apart)....
