| I did not see this posted on here so SIAP. Glad to see the university taking care of the coaches. I hope Brady is getting a raise as well.

| Read article yesterday, forgot to post.
But, what, and 86% raise, or something close?
Good for him. I'd say he deserved it. Considering his system, the players he inherited (suited for the spread) and his success with DR, pay the man.
Probably the biggest/best thing about Borges was his ability to ADAPT to what he was given.
Adapt was not a word in RR's vocabulary when he came. _________________ "I don't get sick. I don't observe major holidays. I'm a jackhammer." - Jim Harbaugh & Dwight Schrute

| Rich Clod can't spell adapt let alone use it in a sentence other than "I will not adapt"... _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

| Agree with you all about the propriety of paying Al. There had been speculation, and not unfounded, that we could lose him to a head coaching job somewhere. This will dissuade those worries. BUT---now, what about Matty? Anyone know what kind of deal he's inked to, and how likely it is to keep him here (relatively) long-term?
With those three (including, obviously, BH), we are in really good hands for the foreseeable future. Their last two recruiting classes (the first coming before they'd coached/won a damned game, for crimeny's sake!) bear that out...as do last season's results.

Actually, come to think of it, I have heard indications along those lines. And I must say--- he's worth every penny. For you, Fish, that goes double: not only did your favorite college team gain him, we took him away from your top NFL rival...eh?

| But I don't think Matty is looking to get a head coaching job.
Too old and doesn't need the headaches for the last few years of his career. _________________ "What the HELL's going on out here?"

| I agree stjoe, and I really don't see Borges as a head coach either, but maybe he will be. It took Norm Chow a long time to get a shot too.
Yes mike, glad he isn't at Baltimore anymore.

C'mon, 2ndComing. This lifetime software developer shouldn't be the only one who knows that computers don't commit crimes; people do. Same goes for their (computers') peripherals. App's such as Twitter (and for that matter the worldwide web itself) may make it easier to commit crimes/misdeeds, but...what entity actually perpetrates the crime? A living, breathing one, methinks...(nay, knows). How's that lovely expression go again? "Guns don't kill..." (and see my second paragraph above here, too...though I'm not trying to start a firestorm).

Without twitter there would be no temptation to broadcast inane comments. _________________ 'eggo denoted me a First ballot Hall of Famer! - sandyeggo_blue wrote:

And will likely retire from coaching as a Michigan man. Part of the reason for him coming here was his daughter/grandkid in Ann Arbor. I don't see him going elsewhere unless they do. Maybe the Lions? _________________ "I'm 205 pounds of twisted, hardened, blue steel." Bo
