Meet a New Recruit: WR David Carrington

6'3 WR out of California. We have NOT offered him yet, but the coaches were at his school recently, and it sounds like he could be getting one soon:

He's yet to be mentioned here on our board, and hasn't garnered a whole lot of attention nationally, but he took home MVP honors of the latest NFTC (out in Oakland).

Kid has great speed, hands and - what will really stick out to our coaches - a ferocious mean streak when it comes to blocking downfield for his teammates.

Now, all of this becomes moot if 85's buddy who was in attendance at the alumni tour is in fact correct (or Hoke wasn't blowing smoke up his ass) that we already have a 3rd WR commit, it's just silent.

I asked him about Deveon Allen at Brophy here in Phoenix and he marveled about his speed but said we already have 3 WR's for next year. He said people only know about 2 of them and that Allen has connections to Ohio.

Sure that we can't get him for this fall? I saw several "jump balls" in that tape. Denard needs those.

Also, he ran a fake FG, that makes me think sparty may really want him. They live & die by the trick play...
