UM BASEBALL: Maloney's contract not extended. DB begins national search

What do you think, 2nd? I think we have another regular on here who frequents quite a few baseball games too.

I don't follow college baseball whatsoever, so I can't really say much.

Can say that Twiiterverse seems a bit shocked over this move. I read he was 97 games over .500 in his 10 seasons in AA.

I'm not shocked. Actually kind of relieved. Maloney often made questionable decisions and let's be honest, he has had a dumbtonio type of career (to put it in footballese). An average coach who caught lightening in a bottle with a few recruits but once the studs left he was exposed as "mehhhh"...

New blood was needed in baseball. In Maloney's defense, he beat sparty 2 out of 3 times this year. Not good enough though...
