I listened to the game last night on mgoblue. Talk about a bummer. UM was pressing hard in the first and probably could have been up 3-0 going into the second. instead they score a goal with about 4:30 to go then give a up a short handed goal 30 seconds later. it stayed 1-1 going into the third and I think UM forgot that you need to shoot the puck to score goals. I think the shots on goal in the 3rd was about 10-2 in favor of ND. ND did get a super lucky bounce to a wide open net for the eventual game winner and UM did have 4 shots hit the post during the game but it's obvious they weren't in it during the 3rd.

Tonight is the rededication of Yost Arena and it's gonna be a maize out. Anyone going?

To me at least, this feels like the RR all over again even though Coach Berenson is still there. Coach Berenson is God, I do not question him at all, ever. It's just that the playerrs are not doing what they are supposed to be doing. Michigan typically struggles the first part of the season (before the holiday break) until Coach Berenson can finally get his players to listen to him regaring the importance of defense, tape-to-tape crisp passes, and responsibility. Our schedule usually is rear-end loaded with a lot of conference games at home against big name oppoenents in the 2nd half of our schedule. This year not so much. That normally works out in our favor but I'm afraid that this year, like in 2010, our tournament appearence streak will end unless we win the conference toury. If Rutledge/Racine doesn't get hot and take over I'm starting to think that the streak will end. I thought the same thing in 2010 but we had Hunwick then who I didn't know was awesome at the time. Well, it was a good 21-or is it 22, I lost count, streak. I haven't given up and won't until it's official, if 2010 has taught me anything it's never give up on Blue ice. Never.

BTW, while I love Jim & Al (Michigan Hockey's radio guys) they are complete homers. I watched the game on CBS College Sports Network and there are no excuses. Michigan just styopped playing after they went up 1-0, and Summer-Hayes stood on his head. I still haven't decided if I am going tonight or not, the game is on Comcast but rededication games are no big deeal. I've been to Michigan Stadium's and Ray Fisher Stadium's. You get either a fancy ticket stub or a pennet or a pin (although I bet tonight at Hockey they give away Maize T-shirts, it being a Maize-out and all). I've got over 100 Michigan shirts, thijnk I'll stay home and watch it on TV and/or find some 21 year old girl to "Admin" (I've now coined a new term referring to his Chicago experience).

I'll never stop cheering for Michigan Hockey but this is getting pretty bad. Best part of the game tonight in my opinion was when Eric Nystrom came up to the booth to be interviewed. Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh.... Evil or Very Mad
