Tavon Austin and Marquis Goodwin run 4.25.
I was surprised that Marquis Gray only ran a 4.6. That's fast for a QB, but I thought he would run faster.

Official, Goodwin a 4.27, Austin 4.34, Denard 4.43.

Goodwin ran a laser timed 10.09 100m for UT track. That is smoking fast even for track guys.
Anyway the 40 is so over-rated. Denard's 4.4 is fast but he's shown he's much faster in games where it counts.

Michael Irvin and Mayock both said they wee really impressed with Denard in the receiver skills, saying he looked a lot better than he did at the senior bowl.

Good to hear. I'll have to check it out on the NFL site.
Back to the 40. Why in the hell don't they laser time it, why do they have a "free start," and why is the finish line (to my memory,) always hard to spot for the TV viewer? The whole thing seems sloppy to me. Why do scouts and media vest so much into the 40 when it's probably the least telling measure of a player? It seems so shady to me.
