Rebounding

This team gives up too many offensive rebounds.

They are also letting MSU get a lot of open looks and Sparty is draining 3s because of it. Not good.

No answer for Payne.

same ole same ole. Give up to many rebounds and force to many shot, miss to many puppies. The will continue to struggle till they learn to make layups.
Morgan and Mc gary almost nothing . Payne is eating em up, inside and out,

They have not made 1 3 pointer @ home what the heck 0-9 3 pointers
@ the 4 minute mark here a stat for you 0-11 3 pt shots, 9-20 layups, 9-20 thats less than 50% for layups

Again down the stretch giving up more offensive rebounds and poor shot selection......I hope they don't blow this but it is reminding me of Thursday night.

Yes it was but it shouldn't have been that close. If they clean things up they could go far in the tourney.

- why the F can't we hit a layup. I believe I counted 8 missed (someone please correct me if that is wrong) with 6 of them not getting an offensive rebound and no points. Two missed layups still resulted in baskets for the trip.

- No way in the world could you have told me that M would go 0 - 12 from the 3pt line and would win and have me believe you. NO WAY

- I counted 46 points in the paint. FORTY SIX! I can't believe it.

- I thought the team played quality transition basketball. Both on the offense and defense. That type of transition play will get them far in the national tourney

- I can't figure out how they let Sparty go on two separate runs down the stretch to make it so close. The forced shots really killed us.

- I called it in my other post that I thought either McGary or Levert would show up today. I am thrilled they both did.

That win was ugly but I'll take it. I still think the team has a lot of issues to address but I think they can play with ANY team in the nation if they put forth the effort. I also think Belien out-coached Izzo today which I would never think possible because for as much as I hate the guy, Tom Izzo is a great coach.

Need to clean up allowing offensive rebounds, and hit open threes. I love the game plan today of taking the ball to the lane. Very aggressive offensive play. More than doubled MSU in points in the paint.

Exactly! It's almost like Belien had an epiphany last night and realized his team is loaded with athleticism and he drew up a game plan accordingly. Don't get me wrong I love JB, I think he's a hell of a coach and I'm happy to have him but there have been times this year where I questioned some of the things the team has done. Then again I admit I don't have the greatest basketball mind ha ha.
