Decent first half- rebounding still an issue though

I am so sick of seeing every team we play's big guy getting 10 damn offensive rebounds a game.

Going to be a long season, no inside game, Stauskas cannot creat a shot, we go as Robinson goes. Not looking good.

I cannot remember such a horrendous sports season. Screw this crap.

Guess part of the issue after looking so foward to Michigan playing well and comming back to the top, Then seeing what it is. Its like trying to cook a great meal and finding out nobody is hungry.

Michigan is the youngest team in the Big Ten, is playing their first conference road game of the season against an 11-2 Minnesota team, just lost their Pre-Season All-American center, is down by 3 with 14 minutes to play, and you guys are still up in arms?

Hortford is attrousouis, and Morgan ain't much better. No inside game no wins. Gonna be a tough pill to swallow

Yeah, our inside game is weak without McGary.

I think our back court is at least as good as the team three years ago, and our two big men that year were Morgan and Horford, too.

Walton/Albrecht/LeVert/Stauskas/Irvin/GRIII is at least as good as Morris/Douglass/Hardaway Jr./Novak/Smotrycz/Vogrich

I think everyone needs to temper expectations. We lost two players to the 1st round of the NBA, one being the National Player of the Year. We also just lost our Pre-Season All-American.

The team has talent, but the team is young. Michigan isn't going to compete for a Big Ten title this year and probably won't make past the Sweet 16, but that's what happens when you lose three starters from the season before.

Minnesota only got blown out by Arkansas. They lost to #8 Syracuse by 8 points and that game was close all game. In fact, it was within 2 points at the two-minute mark.

Minnesota beat Florida St. who is a tournament team and Richmond who will be a bubble team.

First of all, I don't like losing either, but this game was a coin flip going in.

Second of all, the game is tied.

In fact, Minnesota was a 2.5 point favorite in this game.

But this game was a MUST win to save the season.

Man, Michigan always seems to struggle at FT shooting down this stretch.

that was a good win by the team.

given that McGary is out and we have somewhat curbed our expectations IMO those are exactly the kind of games we need to figure out ways to win. A tough, close win on the road. That win will do wonders for us down the stretch. Inversely, a loss there could have been crucial down the stretch.

OMG If they are all this hard I will nt make it through the season. Michigan did about all it could to lose after a very gutsy come back, If McGary is out all year and Robinson misses any substancial time , YECK it could get ugly

By the way, that poor inside play was EXACTLY what I was talking about in my previous posts. I have a feeling that the lack of McGary's physical play is going to put us into a lot of close games like this throughout the year.

Mitch McGary is out indefinitely.
Robinson III sat the final 17 minutes after tweaking his ankle.

For Michigan to pull this win out speaks volume about the heart this team has.

Irvin is going to be special.

Huge road win- many clutch plays down the stretch.

FWIW, our inside play was not bad tonight. Defensively our inside needs work but Horford played pretty dang good tonight on. 14 points on 65% shooting, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block.

Woody I didn't disappear, I always check in later. I hate the fact that we go long periods of time w/o scoring sometimes. I hate it that we have no inside game to speak of. I have /had high hopes fpr this year in the BIG with McGary going down and Stauskas having trouble getting looks, I'm a little concered.

the artist is a Michigan fan at least. He does complain a lot, but he does put his heart into Michigan. I'm convinced that rasputin is not a Michigan fan. Take a look at his posts. He blatantly lies to make Michigan look bad. "Minnesota has gotten blown out by the two real teams they've faced."

Despite the facts that:
They beat a solid Florida St. team.
They played toe to toe with top 10 Syracuse. They didn't get blown out, like rasputin says. Lie less, rasputin.
