I am pretty sure Um will take him no matter what. He is a legacy recruit and he can play. He be a great vback up to Isaac's or De'veon Smith.

I would hope so, but why no offers? From anyone?

Maybe... he's a silent and they don't want to discourage other RBs... it's one of those cases where nobody else is offering because they know he's a UM lock... Just seems curious to me that he has no offer according to Scout, Rivals, ESPN, & 24/7.

Unfortunately Berkley isn't the size we're looking for.

Vincent Smith?

That's interesting. I wonder if you're right about 'lock to Michigan'? Perhaps any coach that's tried recruiting him has been told 'I'm following in my dad and brother's footsteps and walking on at UofM'?

(granted my brother didn't have to walk on....neither did my dad (I believe))

So, do you promise him a schollie? Or risk pissing off the family by trying to get him to walk on?

That's tough. I think if Stan and Braylon know he's not the typical 'Michigan caliber' recruit, they will be satisfied with the coaches giving him a preferred walk-on spot, and sometime in the future him getting a scholly.

I think the only way you can really piss the Edwards off is not giving him a roster spot at all.

And let's face it, if the family has to foot the tuition bill for a year or 2 before he's put on scholly, they should certainly be able to afford it.

I'm hoping they look at it that way.

The Edwards' family is not the Boren family. Stan is a class act. There was a story on MLive before Justin left about how his dad was the loudest parent at little league games, and HS football games. How he was hard on his sons. They tried to glorify him, but when I read it I thought he sounded like and asshole. This was before the 2007 season, so I wasn't thinking he was an asshole because his son left UM, I was thinking he was an asshole because he is an asshole.

Did Old Man Boren play big time sports?

Maybe that is the biggest difference between the 2 families.

Stan knows what's going on and OM Boren doesn't.

There are several guys on the prospects list that are his height and/or weight, he's bigger than Smith by all accounts, and he's a double legacy.

I'm guessing he'll be Blue when it's all said and done, I just can't believe that he doesn't have an offer.

They are Midwestern guys. They've played football in snow and mud and cold. They understand Michigan/Ohio for exactly what it is.

I think that counts for a little something.

Yes, he played for Bo from 80-83 and was a teamate of Stan Edwards.

LOL, I'd say that's a pretty fair assessment! Very Happy

Cravens is being recruited as a WR or a Safety, I'm 99.9% sure. None of his HS tape has him running the ball, I don't think. Maybe coaches are talking to him about that? I doubt it though. That kid will most likely end up at S wherever he lands. Watch his tape. He's a man among boys in HS (and he has another year left to continue murdering those kids).
