I actually expected (and think I may have posted) that the penalties would be high this year. it's just a bi-product of the aggressive style of D that durkin's teams play. but I wasn't expecting that much. the last few games were just rediculous. definitely something they need to work on.


and when the hell are we finally going to be a team that wins turnover battles? is that ever going to happen again. it's been ridiculous for years. christ guys, get it right will you?

Pretty sure during Lloyd's reign we won the turn-over battle. Someone check for me, I'm too 'dwoody (lazy) on this one.

It's extremely frustrating to watch other successful teams run the football. And every expert and analyst says the team that can run the ball will usually win the game. Why has the Michigan running game been so pitiful in the last few years? Pass blocking doesn't seem to be a big problem, but run blocking has seemed awful in recent years for Michigan. The rushing statistics in the O$U/M game tell a profound story.

what I meant by winning the TO battle again was, will we win it again like we did under lloyd. should have clarified that.

I did some checking and in the 8 seasons since lloyd left UM is a total of -47 in turnovers. hoke actually had two years where he was in the plus but those are the only two seasons since 2007.

we were -16 last year and finished -6 this year. it's really deflating.
