QB depth chart

Friend who is part of medical staff stated to me: best known QB depth chart as we open camp. He also stated that Speight & O'Korn in summer work-outs continually have trouble completing any long throws. He didn't say how long these throws are.

1. Speight

2. Peters

3. O'Korn

4. Morris

Take it for what's it worth. Of course it can change as soon after the first practice. See what happens once pads are on.

In Harbaugh we trust so I'm sure he'll have the best QB ready sept. 3rd.

I pretty much agree.  Unless Peters wins the job out-right in Fall camp, Peters will red-shirt.  Of course with the recruits Coach Harbaugh is bringing in who knows?  I've heard rumors of McCaffrey walking in here as a Freshman and starting.  Basically who knows although I don't see Peters burning a year of eligibility just to back Speight up.

All I know is I want football.

From what I saw of HS film and the Spring game, I think Peters has the most upside. I think he will redshirt too. McCaffrey is less of a known given that he is a year behind, but if both he and Peters stay healthy and are what we think they can be, I think the loser between the two for the job, will transfer. And that's OK because it would mean we got a great QB between the two and part of bringing in QBs is to increase your chances of getting THE guy.

I don't thin McCaffrey will come right in and start. Heck, I hope he doesn't. I think this year's starter will be #1 on the depth chart next year as well, and it will be his job to lose. Especially if the team has the kind of year we think they can have.
